First days in Australia

1-11-2007

Hace unas horas que ya estoy aqui en Brisbane, y de momento no os puedo
contar mucho sobre este sitio.
Sorprende que aun estando en Barna ninguna de las asiaticas azafatas de
Singapur airlines supiese castellano.
were decent in Castilian (most were not) and make sure everything else was
in English or in some Asian languages, there were only the
games.

On arrival at Brisbane could not scan our passports, so
had to trust us to let us enter the country, so no problem
others, and by the terminal was expecting a man with a sign
with our names. We brought by car to the house
where, for now, we live, we talked a little. Once in the house simply tell us what were our rooms and went to sleep.
here very soon now (of 7.30) and do not know if there is someone else awake.
I have around the house and saw the tiny kitchen and a toilet
(no banjo) and the computer. When you know more about this site and I will tell you. 11/02/2007

HOLA

today things went better than yesterday, because yesterday when we went to bed and I heard nothing.
I know where the restrooms, you have to do to cook our food (which we bought today at the supermarket) and have searched for information on local trains and buses to go downtown tomorrow and see the college and the office of information tourism that are very close.
We watched a lot of stuff and almost everything is in the center, to see if we see something there and we moved.
We have opened a bank account and we have dollars, and then at the supermarket we bought several things to eat, is something where we have been expensive but I think we have seen the supermarket later is cheaper, we'll try there.
We could cook with olive oil (I thought it would be more expensive, has gone to 4 euros per liter, and then in a brochure we have seen another supermarket cheaper), and we ate some eggs and sausages that were not not bad. Now we do some macaroni. It's hot, but not more than in Spain at the moment. And so far there is not much more to tell. 03/11/2007

We went to the city.
The college is at the center of the city, so we caught a bus that leaves us half way in front of Bowen Park and the Royal Brisbane Hospital and with the same ticket, we caught another bus which leaves us in Adelaide st., two blocks from Charlotte St which is where the college. Brisbane River View from the bus

Serj in Bowen Park, with transhipment

And a pedestrian street in the Queen st, which is where the information desk and tourism. There we have taken a few times a bus line that does not help us at all XD, a city guide I've only had time to browse and have told us that we can get a good look at the city taking the ferry and cruising the Brisbane River, and with the same ticket up to a very high where the scan across the center of the city and much of the surroundings, but after explaining 3 times we had to do had to withdraw because I learned how not to go. See if someone tomorrow at the college we can explain it better.

Albert George st
So far, we have limited ourselves to walk around, eat at an excellent Chinese restaurant (nothing to do with what is in Spain in Asian restaurants)

Serj next to the Cathedral of St Albert
a large park and walk along the Brisbane River, the Brisbane Botanic Garden, with lots of birds and a variety of trees.

Soon I will tell you as they have classes. Salu2
insane.
